Gregory Marshall Smith, born in Somerville, Massachusetts and raised in historic Medford, is a jack-of-all-trades. Engineer officer, sports writer, asset protection agent, helicopter control officer, training coordinator, training instructor, you name it, he’s done it (mostly simultaneously).
A legend in his own mind, he has been e-published online with Midnight Express, Spectacular Speculation, Bumpzine, Lulu.com and sfhdominion.com.
In print, he has had short stories in “Writer’s Bump” anthology and “Dark Tidings” anthologies (Volume I & Volume II). His novellas include “Crawl,” “They Call the Wind Muryah” and “Slow Boat to China.” “The Hunters” is his first full-length novel and he is currently awaiting word on his 100,000-plus word “Land of the Blind” while he preps the second novel in the series “Land of the Blind: The One-Eyed Man.”
He is a relative of legendary black journalist and science fiction writer George Schuyler and musical prodigy Philippa Duke Schuyler. He considers his inspiration to be “Creature Double Feature” and rues the day the Sci-Fi Channel became SyFy.
